Carriage House - Vineyard Mansion

Property is well worn but the comfort and coziness more than makes up for any deficiencies. It was quiet and extremely comfortable

Carriage house was a very neat stay, perfect for our weekend getaway.

Positive: The carriage House was very comfortable and in a great location. Negative: The vents were very dirty. And the shower floor very slippery.

If you appreciate historic homes and neighborhoods you will love this place. Comfortable & clean beds. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful historic homes in this area. Museum across the street was once a home and it’s gorgeous too! I would definitely book again & would love to see the B&B inside the mansion!

For a certain type of person and experience… Positive: Beautiful location although much of the historic area seems boarded up and vacant. Negative: An unusual experience. I actually never saw anyone while on the property. It was self check in and I never saw hosts or any guests. It may be obvious to others but this has very dated decor, which felt a bit unclean with some creepiness. I think it’s by design, but the decor included oddities like old doll heads and elves inside drinkware. Maybe this is to add to the lore of being haunted (I learned after my stay) but it wasn’t my thing. There were people in the garage making a lot of noise, sounded like fighting, in the evenings.
