We enjoyed the historical setting, and being in the mansion enhanced the entire experience.
Positive: The communal kitchen is something we have experienced before, but this one had more choices and a LOT more possibilities We appreciated the homemade goodies in the kitchen this morning.
Negative: It was fine. One has to consider that when a building is this old and has retained its original ambience, it will not be the same as a contemporary hotel. That was just what we wanted, and we appreciated the retention of the period that it represented, although I don't want to return to that "Gilded Age" culture.

Positive: Tremendous furnishings throughout the building, the room was large with a comfortable bed.. The proprietor was very congenial.
Negative: The shower was too small and the B&Bs that we have been to normally serve you breakfast but this one does not you have to make it yourself.

Positive: Thoughtful and delightfully whimsical renovation of a Victorian mansion. In a fascinating neighborhood, within walking distance of the city center--so a great location.

The stay was fantastic, felt like I came home just walking in the front door, reminded me of a time better spent on conversation over social media. Absolutely loved the accommodations, there was not one thing I could think of that was not available. I will definitely be coming back
